Important tips from The Grout Man for Caring for your grout

These are some suggestions from the grout and tile restoration experts at The Groutman. If you follow our tips your floor or shower should stay looking
new for years to come.

Instructions for newly re-grouted & re-caulked shower or tub:
• Do not use shower for at least 24 hours to allow sufficient drying time
• When cleaning your grout, do not use bleach or high alkaline products
on your tile walls as this will dry out and harm non-sanded grout.
• For cleaning grout, you should use a mild detergent without bleach or
mix 1 part vinegar to 7 parts water and apply
• It is recommended to seal grout 48 hours after re grouting and every
year after to prevent grout discoloration

Instructions for newly sealed or color sealed (stained) grout:
• No surface traffic for a minimum 1 hour
• Should be kept dry for a minimum of 12 hours
• Do not use bristle brushes or detergents for 1 week
• Will fully cure in 72 hours
• For cleaning grout, you should use a mild detergent without bleach or
mix 1 part vinegar to 7 parts water and apply

Instructions for floors that just had a grout cleaning:
• When you vapor clean grout, it opens the pores and takes all of the
dirt out of there. To properly protect your grout from getting dirt
again, it is recommended that you properly seal your grout once a
year.
