About NJ Groutman!

I wanted to provide you, my visitors and customers, with a little background on me and my experience so that you can rest assured that you are in good hands.

I was born and raised right here in NJ, in Southern Monmouth County, NJ. In 1994, I  graduated from High school and immediately joined the local Sheet Metal Workers Union and had the opportunity to work with great people and on some big high profile projects, most notably the Borgata Casino and the pier behind Caesars, both in Atlantic city.

After a few years, I decided to make a change was admitted to the local Carpenters Union. While in the Carpenters Union, I was able to work on some large scale local projects such as Monmouth Park for the Breeders Cup, the expansion of Jersey Shore Medical Center and you can still see my work in many stores throughout the Freehold Mall. I am and have been a member for the past 6 years, and although I still hold my union card, I have ceased my availability to work full time as THE GROUTMAN.

While work with the Carpenters Union was slow, I started working for a tile guy and after a short time realized that there was a market for tile restoration, cleaning, regrout, and other services that did not warrant the complete replacement of your tile.  I set out to research what it would take to offer these services right here in my own back yard.  I quickly realized that I could offer services a normal tile cannot, make your tile look brand new, and do it all at a fraction of the cost of traditional tile contractors.

Grout Man was born in early 2012 and has since been busy cleaning up the tiles of NJ in Ocean County, Monmouth County, Middlesex County and others as well.  I still reside in Monmouth County with my wife and daughter and look forward to meeting you when you tile needs some attention to bring it back to life!
